Obituary of Elman Russell Lansdowne

Elman Russell Lansdowne, age 80 died on August 16, 2011 at his home in Pitman, NJ. He was a graduate of Woodstown High School in 1949. Elman served in the US Navy from 1950-1953. He began his career with Mobil Oil in 1954. In 1962 he began working with Shell Chemical Co. in West Deptford as a process operator and retired in 1988. Elman was a member of the U.S.S. Bairoko Assn. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Jean C. (nee Michel), sons Kenneth R. (Nancy), Thomas A. (Lisa), 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, mother in law Florence J. Michel, sister in law Florence E. (Roy) Duncan and nephew Mark (Jennifer) Emond. Elman also had a special place in his heart for his nephew Walter "Scotty" Emond. Friends may call on Monday 7-9pm and Tuesday 10-11am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11am. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
