Obituary of George Edward Epley

George Edward Epley "Big E", age 84 years, died January 3, 2023. He graduated from Glassboro High School in 1958 and had lived in Pitman since 1962. He was employed by Haines Dairy Farm for over 20 years, Brooks Amoco Station, Datz Auto Radiator, AndBro, and Queins Fruit and Produce. He was an avid cook and loved auto racing, horse racing, gardening, and his lawn. He was a beloved member of the Pioneer Sportsman Club where he was the cook for over 30 years, and Jaycee's. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlotte Downer Epley, sons; Brian, Bruce (Melody), and Craig (Jennifer), grandchildren; Emily (Ryan) Marker, Haley (Eric) Bailey, Jenna, Tyler (Shelbie), Morgan (Philip Franco), Carley, Madelynn, and Ayden. Also survived by his great granddaughter Lennex Bailey, and his sister Alice Shaerer. Friends may call on Monday, January 9 from 6 to 8PM, and Tuesday from 10 to 11AM, in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ, Funeral service at 11AM. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
