Obituary of Katherine Ann Sooy

Katherine Anne Sooy (nee Mulholland), age 54 years of Wenonah, NJ died on December 22, 2013. She was a graduate of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 1977 and received her Bachelor's Degree from Glassboro State College (Rowan University) in 1981. Katherine taught at St. Mary's School of Williamstown, Atco Elementary and West End Elementary in Woodbury. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Woodbury Junior Woman's Club, Women's Club of Wenonah and the Wenonah Book Club. She was a former Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader. Katherine was also an active runner and biker, participating in the Broad Street Run and was a Dragon Boat Drummer. Survived by her husband John M, children John M., Christopher E. Kailyn M., parents John and Mary Ellen Mulholland, siblings Ellen Brown, Edward Mulholland, Patricia Dunne and mother in law Marianne Sooy. Friends may greet the family on Friday 6-9pm in the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Ave. (Kings Hwy), Woodbury, NJ. Friends may call on Saturday 10:30-11:15am in Holy Angels Parish (St. Patrick's Church), 64 Cooper St., Woodbury, NJ followed by funeral mass at 11:30am. Interment Wenonah Cemetery.
