Dear Maria, Billy, Leah, and Crystal and extended family, I feel that I lost a member of my own family. In some ways, I did, since Michael (my late husband) always called him "brother". He held me up during my worst time..Michael's illness and death. And I will be there for you now whenever you need me. I can picture them together..laughing again ....perhaps even having a sailboat ride (only this time, Bill won't need rescuing if he falls overboard!!)' I hear his giggle now hearing me reading this aloud. I'll never forget that wonderful laugh. I'll never forget him. It added so much to our lives having him for a friend. I was devastated about the passing of my friend Billy. He was the first person I worked with at NAVSSES years ago in the inspection room and there wasn't a day that went by that we didn't laugh uncontrollably. Billy was always the ring leader and he loved to make people laugh! He always had time for everybody and he didn't have a mean bone in his body. He loved life and I will never forget the friendship he provided me thru my years working at building 26 with the "Party Crew". God Bless you Billy, you will always be remembered with great fondness and whenever I think of you I always smile because you always made me laugh. Until we meet again my friend!! Lou DiStefano
