Thomas M. McLenigan, age 75 of Pitman died on January 8, 2012. Thomas was a graduate of LaSalle University in 1958 and received his Master's Degree from Temple University in 1965. Thomas began his career in education as a teacher in Camden County. He worked over 40 years in education, retiring in 1994 as Superintendent of the Gloucester County Special Services School District. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Pitman-Glassboro Kiwanis Club where he served as President 1989-1990. During his retirement he worked part time at Rowan University for ten years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Elizabeth McGrory McLenigan, children Thomas Jr (Mary), Michael (Rebecca), Elizabeth Ann (Eric) McLenigan Hulett, grandchildren Brian, Robert, Emily, T. Drennan and Andrew and his brother Michael McLenigan of Norristown, PA. He was predeceased by his sister Regina McLenigan Haines.
Friends may greet the family on Friday 10-11:15am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 161 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ 08071. Funeral mass will be at 11:30am.
