Peggy Francis posted a condolence

Tom McLenigan will be so missed by the Francis family. He was a dear man, great educator, good husband and father and a terrific friend. He was always upbeat, smiling and laughing and just making everyone who knew him feel better. He and his wife, Liz, raised an outstanding family and we know how difficult this time is for all of them. Our prayers and sympathies are with Liz, the children and the grandchildren. Love, Peggy

A wonderful neighbor and friend has been taken from us too soon. Tom was a person I tried to be like: relentlessly upbeat, smiling, friendly, interested in you. I can't help but smile as I think of him and all the great conversations we had. And, when he promised to do something for you, he did it. His word was truly his bond. I miss him already!

Tom McLenigan, my friend and confidant...I will always remember the laughs and good times - especiallly the St.Patrick's Day Lunches we shared for over thirty years. I know where you are traveling now, and God willing, we will meet again.

Our sympathies go out to the whole family. Tom was a great story teller, always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. We are blessed to have gotten to spend time with him in our lives and listen to him share the stories of his family.
