Helen J. Hampton (nee Bakley) age 74 years, died suddenly August 24, at her home in Pitman. Born in Pitman, she was a graduate of Pitman High School in 1957. She retired to Florida in 1985, and returned to Pitman 6 years ago. She was a charter member of St. James Lutheran Church in Pitman. In Florida, she was an avid golfer and loved to walk. She was pre-deceased by her husband William Hampton and her twin sister Mary Chillari.
She is survived by step-sons; Walter (Gladys), William (Sue), sisters; Matilda "Tudie" (Robert) Drissell, JoAnn Maguire, 2 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10AM Tuesday in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral services 11AM. Interment private. Memorials may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
