Every year the Glassboro Memorial Day Parade was blessed with Dave's help. He dedicated himself to helping make this a great event for the town and for the veterans. And even though he resigned from the committee last year, he kept in touch with us and still kept involved.
He truly brightened my day when he would visit my office to update me on Parade items and of course drop off some memorabilia to help us with the ceremony.
The most memorable moment was in a conversation we had about a year ago when he was telling me his war stories and I commented on something and he told me I sounded just like the guys from Two and A Half Men! Of all things! And boy did he like that show. He started telling me about episodes that he thought were so funny. I was quite impressed that a man of his age could appreciate something so hip!
He was truly amazing and did a great job of sharing our history. I really learned a lot from him. He will be grealy missed.
My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.
