I was so very sorry to see of Greg's passing this December. Like Greg, I was involved in the Business Development trade in the Philadelphia Markets at the same time. In the few years that I got to know him, over lunch, golf, a beer, or attending local meetings; I found him to be one of the few competitors to treat you like just another person.
As fellow Irish Catholics, we clicked immediately, and I can't tell you how many times we ended up laughing so hard that our stomachs hurt. I know it must have been a very difficult time for Greg and the family; but know he is in a much better place, enjoying his reward. Greg was a really nice man and I am better for having known him. God bless and watch over you, his family.

Greg was a great man. He became "family" and he showed us how it's done. I would love if Terry, et al felt less pain and I wish huge success for the family, especially Olivia and Greg, Jr.

Just to remember what a nice man he is. Quiet, calm and always kind. Watching him coach our son and the other kids in baseball and soccer, tirelessly even when he's already sick, just amazed me. Never raised his voice at them. Always had a ready smile for them. He will always be in our hearts and Im sure my son will always remember him. Thank you Greg for being a part of our life, even if its just for a short time.

Greg is special to so many of us. He has people that love him from high school, college, work, sports, community, and most importantly family. He didn’t share his problems, he always asked how I was doing, and his interest was sincere. He helped keep me sane when I needed it and he got me a little crazy when I needed that too; he always knew, and he was right. As so many people have said, he really loved his family and his regret was not seeing them grow; but I think he will see them grow, I think he’ll always be with us who love him.

The overwhelming support from everyone here is a testament to Greg and to the impact he has made in all our lives. Our family is truly grateful for all your comforting thoughts and prayers. Special people leave a void for the others who remain behind, and today is indeed a very sad day for all of us. We have lost such a great person. My brother may have meant something different to each and every one of you, but for me personally, he was my mentor, critic, and my competitor. A quiet confidence with a quit wit, he knew how to engage people that made them feel welcome, comfortable, and important. Greg inspired all who knew him through his unrelenting and courageous fight with this devastating disease. He never complained, never asked “why me”, never took pity. Only to say that “you have play with the hand that was dealt!” He was terrified of the idea of prematurely leaving his family he loves so dearly and having lost the chance to see his children grow up and excel in life. An accomplished collegiate athlete, he was a true team player. He made his other Scranton teammates better by giving it all he had, and he expected the same in return. He understood what life was really about, he got it: – he had it all figured out. Married to Terri for the last 15 years, he was a devoted family man who cherished seeing his daughter Olivia and his son Greg Jr. excel in their swimming, soccer and baseball. He struggled in these last few months to keep things normal for his children and family. He endured countless surgeries and set-backs only to forge ahead for the sake of his children. Let’s just be thankful for all the special moments that my brother has left us. And with that, I hope that my brother will continue to live on within our hearts and minds. This is not the time for us to grieve his death but it’s our time to celebrate his life. Today, let’s all think back and remember how Greg touched our lives and how he made us laugh.
As brothers, he really was pretty special

Greg was a great guy and a good person at heart. From my first day at WFW, he made me feel like part of a family. I spoke with him most every day about our families and laughed about our problems together. He will be a huge loss. I will miss his smile. As for his family, he loved you all so much and talked about you guys all the time. I believe he would want us all to smile and not sorrow for his loss. God Bless...

My condolences to the Cann Family:
I worked with Greg and I will miss his upbeat attitude and outlook on life. He was truly a pleasure to work with. I came across this verse and I though of Greg:
“His life earnest, his actions kind, A willing hand, and active mind, Anxious to please, loath to offend,
A loving Brother and faithful friend.”

Greg, we were together so often, so many times through the past 35 years and before. We laughed, we cheered, we hooted and hollered, we danced, and now many of us cry. We know how proud you made us for living the way you did all your life and to be able to share our lives with you. We praise you for fighting like you did, and we know the time was now to say goodbye. Some day we will meet again...until then, we have you covered
your very dear friend

As a HS classmate of Greg's, I remember his close relationship with his brother Jeff...he smiled often...he loved soccer...and I remember all the fun times we had hanging out on Guyer Dr with the "Gang" and all of us aimlessly walking around the neighborhood and ending up at McDonalds most times. He had a great group of guy friends from Hts that will surely miss him! May you find comfort and peace during this time and celebrate his life by holding on to those precious memories. Praying for all of you!

I am deeply saddened to learn of Greg's passing. Having worked with him for his entire career at WFW, I quickly came to appreciate his easy smile and quick wit. Greg exuded a joy for life and all it had to offer. Greg's courageous battle with the unforgiving disease to which he recently succumed will forever remain as a defining example of the human spirit. I am proud and lucky to have known Greg. He will forever remain as a shining star in my memory.
To his wife, children and family, I extend my sincere condolences on your loss.
