Velma Mary Outten (nee Robeson), age 78 years of Pitman, died October 5 in Gloucester Manor, Deptford, NJ. Born in Camden, she has lived all of her life in Pitman. She was a former operator with NJ Bell for 5 years and spent 32 years with the Head Start Program in Pitman as a Teacher's Aide. She was pre-deceased by her husband James R. Outten and granddaughter Stacy Yurgin.
She is survived by daughters Diana Lynn (Jule) Outten, Mary (George) Yurgin, son Howard, all of Pitman, sister Nancy Fox of Pitman, brother Robert (Erika) Robeson of Texas, 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, best friend Loretta Livingston and her special angels Tina and Mary Walker.
Friends may call after 9AM Saturday in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral service at 10:30AM. Interment Eglington Cemetery. Memorials may be shared at www.kelleyfhpitman.com.
