Aunt Stella was married to my Uncle Bill, my late father's (Paul J. Crehan) brother. I have fond memories of Aunt Stella and Uncle Bill stopping by our house in Haddon Heights when I was a child. Uncle Bill was always good for some "wisecrack" type jokes, and Aunt Stella would always tell him to "mind his own business!"
Aunt Stella was a caring, compassionate wife to Uncle Bill. She, too, was a "die-hard" Italian, as in evidence of her love of Frank Sinatra!
Aunt Stella and Uncle Bill enjoyed many trips to the Atlantic City casinos through the years. Several years ago, when Uncle Bill became ill, and eventually disabled, Aunt Stella dutifully stood by her husband, caring and nurturing him despite his difficult condition. I remember Stella telling me how she would sleep in the recliner downstairs in their Pitman home, so not to disturb Uncle Bill's rest.
I know today that Aunt Stella is beside Uncle Bill, sharing their heavenly inheritance with God. Those who knew her are that much richer in their lives today! God Bless!

Stell was there when I first joined the library in 1968. She was a true friend and fun companion. We played pinochle every lunch hour we could, and did our very best for the library the rest of the time. Stell was a great mentor and caring person. I met you and your family, Bet, and grieve with you all.
