The best thing I remember about Marian was that she was a real prayer warrior and faithful friend to many, providing a gentle humorous spirit even through the suffering the loss of her husband, then her home and then her health as she continued the rest of her days in the nursing home, where many of the staff got to enjoy her fun wit. Margaret and I would go to visit her and have so much fun listening to her remarks about things we would tell her. Even in the hospital after her surgery, I asked her “what are you doing in here, Marian?” and she replied, “that’s what I’d like to know!” I was the only one who could find the spot on her back to give her a good scratching relief from an annoying itch she had. Now this dear lady is safe in the arms of the One Who created her and her good humor and steadfast trust in the Lord.
