I remember Mr. Propert as a wonderfully kind person from my young years at the Christian Missionary Church in Pitman. I was very sorry to hear of his death. I am sure he lived an exemplary life and offered a great example of kindness, sharing and unselfishness. Best wishes to his family.

My wife julia who was not a member of the CM & A church in Pitman remembers how kind and welcoming Mr. Propert was every time she visited the church when we were in High School and College

When I was fifteen or so, and while my Dad (David Propert) was the minister of Hopewell, I heard a knock at the front door of the parsonage. I went to see who it was and I saw a couple--early 60's late 50's, whom wanted to see Dad. I said come on in and that I will go and get him; he was in the Church's office. I got there and told him that there was an elderly couple who wanted to see him. He said OK and off we went. When he walked into the living room and saw the couple sitting there, he started to laugh. Seeing my confused looked. He then told me that they were his brother Ralph and his wife Elma. My Aunt and Uncle. To this day I don't know why he waited until then to let me know that I indeed had another Aunt and Uncle: but I became so glad in getting to know (what little I did) my Uncle Ralph and his wonderful laughter.

Psalms 91:14-16 (KJV)
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
