WOW. My deepest sympathies to the Capanna Family. I was in a band or two with Mark. He was a GREAT guitarist and songwriter. We shared the same first name, and almost the same last name, and many many laughs. I am in shock right now. I decided to look up an old friend, only to learn of his passing. God Bless You, Mark. I KNOW you're in Heaven. I Love You, Man. Say hello to Boe.

Mark...what can I say??? You were a great Uncle, but I am so glad that we hung out as friends for so many years. All of the vacations and outdoor (and indoor) fun that we had. You have helped shape my life in so many ways...playing guitar, love of music, drafting & design and listening to WXPN...among many other things. We went to so many concerts & camping trips together. Stacey & I were really glad when you got your Kayak and could join us on our adventures. I will never be able to thank you enough for all of the many hard hot weekends that you spent helping us rebuild our home. I bet that you never imagined you would have had such a positive impact on so many people in your life. The love that you showed for our newborn son, Sabatino, you made evident by all of the kind words that you had to say about him. Thank you for coming up to see him and for bringing Grandmom & Grandpop up also! I will never forget your smile. May your spirit fly high above the mountains that we once hiked together and may Heaven have the shiniest Gibson Les Paul guitar waiting for you.
Much love - You will be missed immensely.
Jude, Stacey & Sabatino

Uncle Mark, you were always there for me and knew how to brighten up someones day. I love you and will miss you everday. Thank you for all the music you introduced me to; everytime I listen to my CDs I will think of you and remember all the memories we shared, especially during our summer pool days. You understood the meaning of family more than anyone else I will ever meet. I love you, and may you rest in peace. Love Cole.

My wife and I were very sad to hear of Mark's untimely passing and have very fond memories of Mark. He was a very kind and caring individual who made quite an impression on us. We first came to know Mark from a neighbor who had Mark perform some work on her house and we were so impressed with his work we convinced him to perform some work for us. He did a spectacular job and will always be a part of this home. My condolences to his family, our thoughts and prayers will be with you in this time of need. We will miss Mark. God Speed...

Mark was the dad I was the mom, the sofa was our station wagon and all the baby dolls were in the back seat. We rode bikes, pretending they were horses, sometimes motorcycles. Smashed berries on our faces pretending it was blood when we played cops and robbers. He thought he broke our uncle's window, I thought I broke it -- each of us lived with the guilt for 30 years -- still not sure who did it! But if he said he did it, I'll believe him.I won't mention that he and his younger brothers dressed up like girls and put on shows for the family, that would be embarrassing.
He loved me and I love him. Mark was a wonderful brother to me and uncle to my children. A beautiful loving person who has blessed my life by being apart of it for almost 47 years and forever in my heart. I love you Mark.

We will miss your bright smile and laugh. You will always be best known as Uncle Mark, because of your great love for all of your nieces and nephews. You were more then an uncle to them. You were their friend and companion. To some you were more like a brother. There will always be a place in our hearts for you and we will hold you close forever. Hope you are sitting beside Grandpop and Grandmom and looking down on us with that bright smile. Love you.
