I just learned of Irene's passing and I send my belated sympathies to her family.
I have such wonderful memories of Irene, especially when my mother and I frequented her thrift shop every weekend for many years. She was funny, kind, and a pleasure to know.
I shared her love of animals.I remember telling her of an abandoned dog I saw on the side of the road and just like Irene, she drove over and picked up the animal. I ended up "adopting" that dog as a pet. Such a wonderful lady and I will truly miss her.

Irene, Rod, Brad and family, all I can think of is "what a lady". Please know I am thinking of all of you at this time that you "Celabrate" your Mother, and Grandmothers life. She is now home with the Lord in her heavenly home and with your father. Peace and Grace!

From reading the obituary I get the sense that your loved one had a special fondness for animals. In the Bible book of Jonah, chapter 4, verse 11, God spared an entire city not only because of the people but for the domestic animals too! Irene also received a special blessing for sure since the Bible says someone of eighty years is of special mightiness. Just think, she lived ninety two years! Some never live half that time. I know she will be missed. God being the source of life has all of us in his memory and can call us back to mind. He purposes to do so. Your family can have faith in that promise.
