June was a wonderful woman and a very special friend. She had a good heart with a kind spirit that you just couldn't help to be drawn to. I will miss her dearly and my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

My Mother was my best friend. She was a great example of how a woman could be. She was strong yet kind and loving. She was very compassionate, even for perfect strangers. She didn't have a lot but would never hesitate to share what she had with others. What luck I had to be born to her! Because, these are the things she taught me. My siblings and I wish to ask that Mom not be remembered for her "strong fight against cancer" but for what she represented in this life. We can honor that memory by remembering to demonstrate an "act of kindness" everyday. No matter if it is a smile to a stranger, opening a door for someone, or making small talk with the cashier at the grocery store. Anything you can think of that may brighten someones day for just a moment. Do this as often as possible in honor of her. Also, try to live your life in a positve way. Be happy now. My mom used to always tell me "If you act happy, even when you're not, eventually, you won't know the difference". She used to tell me I was so wise...I don't think she realized that I learned from her. She was a wonderful gift that I will forever be grateful for.

My heart goes out to June's family. Words can't do her justice, nor can they express how much she will be missed. She was a really amazing person. She was incredibly caring, generous and encouraging. She will live on in the hearts and memories of everyone who loved her.

We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
and days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
with which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
