Well Chuck this ones for you, it's been almost a year since you left us and though most days are good there are still some real tough ones. I know this month has not been good for me but thanks for the penny today you could throw a few more, we still have to gather them up for your goddaughters wedding.Damn you, why didn't you fight, so you could be there! She is going to look so beautiful! And we are going to have so much fun. Thanks for the trip to see Dad,everythings cool. All of these things were possible Because of you and I love you for it. I'm just sorry you're not here. P.S. I'm still working on the plaque for the motorhome.

Uncle chuck went with me my mom and dad to Las vegas to watch a "cup" race. I can remember driving down town Las Vegas strip after we just spent 3 hrs looking for our car in a parking lot. My dad wasent happy about it and kinda let my mom know about it. Uncle and I got a good kick out of it. He would always try to find something funny about a tough situation. I remember the Racing presents i use to get on the holidays. visits to New Hampshire to see us. Every time i see the 28 racing i will always think of him. RIP Uncle Chuck ill miss you.

WOW!.. I am SO sorry to hear this.. I just talked with hijm 2 weeks ago.
Memories are flooding thru my mind.. getting him to come camping, then watching him sitting at a campfire.. listening to the cubs game! Working with him thru some of the computer problems when he did the membership mailings for the firehouse. Knowing how upset he was when the church burned.. but how proud he was that the main window was saved.. then finding his mom's hymnal in the ruins... talking him into dragging his motorcycle to the shop to get it running again so we could ride together.. then his disappointment when he couldn't squeeze the clutch lever because of the spider bite on the back of his hand... his not being able to go camping because he was flying to chicago for a cubs game - thanks to someone's buddy pass... his trips to Myrtle Beach for the golf tournie & to see his Dad.
Only Chuck could manage to get sick time from work by reaching out from the console and dislocating his shoulder!
He's going to be geatly missed!
I have some photos I can share if you give me an email address to send them to.
Respectfully

I learned of Chuck's illness as I was boarding a plane. That was like Chuck keeping his sorrows and heartaches private and to himself. Yet he was the first to step forward and help and give of himself and whatever else he had to help another. I remember his smile and laugh. The fun we had when we worked together at Pitman PD. Chuck was a gerat dispatcher and I am sure he passed along alot to many other dispatchers, so through them Chuck goes on. Chuck I'll miss you and our lucky shirt. The morning you passed I was flying through the clouds and thought I saw a glimmer of the shirt and smiled, keep it safe till I get there so we can have fun again. God Bless and keep everyone in line.

To the family of Chuck. I want to send my deepest condolences to you. I worked and knew Chuck very well. He was like a brother to me and someone I could talk to and he would always keep our conversations private. He kept my spirits high when my daughter was born with a heart condition and endured many surgeries. Chuck would always ask about her. He was a funny person and I will remember him like that. We had alot of great laughs at work. He will be sadly and deeply missed. I was very sad to hear that he was so sick and I feel sad that I didn't get to see him. I know he was a very private person. You and your family are in my prayers.
Sincerely, Trish Dukes
