John, this is your friend Scott Grier. I'm sorry to read this message, you were the undisputed leader of the Dunn clan and a good friend. We always counted on you to cap the score of the wrestling team to secure a win for HHHS. I remember attempting to practice with you once, but at my measly 123 lbs. you just tossed me around, and had fun doing it! Rest in peace John, you left too soon, but left your mark on many of us!

Wow, it is hard for me to believe that one year has passed. Each and every day I think of you and wish that you were still here. There is so much that I would say and want to share with you. I never thought that you would leave this soon. I know what a fighter and how strong you are, thought you would get through this. You are the one person that I could go to with anything and you would listen to everything I had to say no matter if it made sense or not. Even all the advice that you would give all of us, would we always listen, I do not think so, but you tried. As you tried so hard to get better and be a fighter; to me you were invincible and nothing could ever happen to my Daddy. As you can see from above all the things that have been going on with all of us, I know that you are keeping an eye on all, even those little precious grandchildren of yours that will always talk about how wonderful their grandfather was to them. I am not quite sure what I am going to do without you, some days are better than others, but it is just so hard for me. I Love You so much!!!!

My husband was a news paper pressman and when he died at age 36 I had to subscribe to a newspaper as the days of free papers wre over. John Dunn was my first paper boy. After he retired his btother took over. Joseph went to kindergarten with my oldest son and they became friends. I knew Dottie, their mother through the children and we went to Weight Watchers together and we did not lose any weight but had a lot of laughs. It was hard to live in Haddon Heights and not know a member of the Dunn family.
My sympathy goes out to all the members of the family and their loved ones and all of you are in my prayers to receive peace and comfort at this time.

To Karen and all of John's family and close friends, it is with deep sadness I receive this news and I am sure John touched many lives in a good way. I have known John since St Rose and I wish I was available to fly in for the service. God bless you all and I am sure John suffers no more.
