So many memories of "growing up" at the Byers house on Wayne Avenue. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Byers, Marty, Jim and Peter & families. It seems like yesterday that Marty and I were teenagers "gossiping" in the Byers "den", kidding her Mom about her "perfect living room"--Mrs Byers always was "in style" and had a beautiful dry sense of humor. I envied her "suntan" from the "pool" and always thought she was quite the lady. I remember one weekend when I stayed overnight at Marty's and her parents came home from "dancing" and they laughed and laughed about the "Twister" game. I remember how they (Mr & Mrs Byers) always showed how much they loved their kids and shared their home with their friends. Mrs. Byers even let Jimbo play the "bongos" non stop in the house! I remember the good times that they had traveling to Florida to see Marty and Jim, and Mrs Byers "decorating tips". Each time I would come back to Pitman, I tried to be sure to say hello to the "Byers" because they were important people to me. God bless your family. I wish I could be there today in person with you, but I am there in spirit. I am so glad to have known Mrs. Byers.
