My Mother, Olive Wester, thought the world and all of Ruth. Mother did not heap praise easily, but Ruth was often referred to in our household as a Saint. When Mother was so sick Ruth and Leo would visit her and take her out to dinner, her greatest joy. For many decades my parents shared bridge club gatherings, births, celebrations and sad goodbyes. That Ruth stayed a true friend means as much to me as it did to my Mother.
