Obituary of Chartis M. Stroman

Chartis M. Stroman, Jr. age 89 died on December 28, 2012. He lived most of his life in Pitman and attended Pitman High School. Chartis served in the 15th Division of the Air Force during World War II. Chartis worked as an Instrument Technician for Texaco Oil Refinery in Westville, retiring in 1984. He was an avid Mets fan. Predeceased by his wife Kathryn G.. (nee Taylor), he is survived by his daughters Kathleen (Kenneth) Conklin, Nancy, brother Rev. John (Vivian) Stroman of Tallahassee, FL, several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Homer. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday after 9:30am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Memorial service will be at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
