Jim was a very special artist. I met him at the Franklin Mint back in the 70's. He was extremely gifted and made sculpture look easy. He was one of the best artists I have ever known but had a very humble air about him. He will be missed...

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to your family. I knew Jim at the Franklin Mint, back in the 70s and 80s. He was consistently kind and caring to all; very shy, but delightfully witty and perceptive when you would get him to open up. His work was always first class - as a sculptor and painter, he produced only the best. I was just a young girl, getting started with my life and career, but Jim treated me like an equal, as he treated everyone. I am greatly saddened to hear of his death, and I celebrate his wonderful life and art. We have all lost a very special person.

My condolences on the loss of your father. I worked as a designer at the Franklin Mint, in the sculpting department. Jim was always very encouraging to me and very generous. My own dad worked for the Phillies and my family treasures the copies of the Bulletin Phillies portraits which your dad autographed for us. We'll miss him.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I worked as a sculptor at the Franklin Mint to many years and was inspired by your dad's talent. My recollections of him are of a man of immense talent and ablilty, who had a quiet sense of humor and a keen interest in his surroundings. He will be greatly missed. When I think of Jim, I'll always have pleasant memories.
