Obituary of Elwood H. Winters

Elwood H. (Woody) Winters, age 83, died on February 1, 2015. Woody lived in Wenonah for many years before moving to Pittsgrove over 10 years ago. After graduating from Audubon High School in 1951, Woody proudly served aboard the USS Whitehurst from 1951-1955. He had a successful career as a Lab Technician for Mobil Oil in Paulsboro, while sharing his time as both a referee and commissioner for Tri-County Midget Football League and working events at Veteran's Stadium. He is survived by his wife Sue C. (nee Lord), children Paul Lee, LaWanna Lee, Kyle (Jennifer) Lee, Candace (Terence) Cronin and granddaughters Janelle Redmond and Cameron Cronin. Friends may greet the family on Thursday 7-9pm and Friday after 10am in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral service will be Friday at 11am.
