Obituary of Eleanor Valeno Murphy

Eleanor V. Murphy of Pitman NJ, age 81, was a 68-year resident of Pitman. She went Home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2015. Born in South Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (nee DeFeo) Valeno. Eleanor was a graduate of the Class of 1951 of Pitman High School. She was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, served as secretary of the Pitman Recreation Commission, and a former member of the Altar Rosary Society. She retired from L3 Communications at the age of 77. Loving Mother to Lisa Pratta, Christopher (Carmela) Valeno, Teresa (Christopher) Burrows, and Michael Pratta. Devoted Grandmother to Joseph and Juliana Valeno and Giavanna and Marco Pratta. Dear sister to Concetta Donahue and Elaine Valeno. Loving companion to Peter John Chapman for 27 years. Devoted aunt to several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday from 7-9PM and Wednesday from 9-10AM at the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM Mary Mother of Mercy Parish, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 161 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ 08071. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ.
