John was one of those few great people. I loved golfing with him in Dorado Beach. He was the only instructor that could actually teach me to golf. I think it was all his great life stories that he told on the golf course. He just made you calm so focus on the game. I do know everyone dies but John is one the few who actually lived. God Bless.

I remember John from Woodbury Coumtry Club. John helped me with putting. What struck me was how much he cared and wanted me to improve. He was a terrific teacher,
I also remember having a hole in one in John's company at Pine Valley - great memories.

My first memory of John Borrell is his great athletic ability as a kid, being very good in basesball and basketball. Things came natural to him. Who would have thought an injury in one sport would point him to golf? But the rest, as they say is history. Sue and I both took lessons from John. His methods were fun, loose and simple. We both improved dramatically from his tips. I have known Nancy since she and her sidekick Donna were freshman at PHS. She and John were a solid couple and enjoyed life together. Their son John became close friends with my son Jeff and remain so today. Many fond memories of "Jed" as he was called by friends! A future PHS hall of famer, his legacy began from the time he picked up the clubs! He told me his greatest rounds were both 63's shot at Seaview. He gave golf lessons to countless celebrities. Nancy our hearts go out to you and Jr. John was truly one of the good guys.

I am very sorry for your loss. It can be hard for friends and family to find the right words to express at a time like this. Thankfully, we can echo the beautiful words that we read in the Bible. At Revelation 21:4 it tells us that the God of all comfort will soon do away with all suffering, sickness, tears, and death. Along with what we read at John 5: 28, 29 we have a solid hope for the future. Until then, may your loving memories of John bring you comfort during this difficult time. Your family has my sincerest condolences.
