Obituary of Josephine P. Ross

Josephine P. Ross (nee O'Connor) Of Pitman, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2024, at the age of 91. Family Josephine, "Josie", she is the beloved daughter born to the late Thomas and Mary (nee Lynch) O'Connor on August 21st, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Josephine was the youngest of ten children, Mary, Anne, Eileen, Thomas, James, John, Gerald, Teresa, and Francis. Josephine Married Vincent M. Ross and they had four sons, Vincent Ross (Susan), Thomas (Patrica), Richard (Jacci) and John (Jennifer) and a stepdaughter Geradine (Rich). She is the beloved Grandmother of Vincent, Susan, Tiffany, Victoria, TJ (Thomas), Christopher, Alexander, Daniel, John, Gina, Nathaniel and Theodore, and Sixteen great grandchildren. After graduating from business school Josephine went to work at Curtis Publishing in center city Philadelphia and worked as an Offset Printing Press Operator. She then worked at the Ben Franklin Hotel and the Holiday Inn, both in Philadelphia. Josephine loved her siblings and most especially her sister Teresa, the two of them were best friends, practically twins and inseparable raising their families together as one. She loved all her nieces and nephews. Josephines best friend was her niece and God-daughter Lorraine, she said "she loved her since they put her in my arms". The two traveled everywhere together and spent the last several years in each other's company practically every day. Josephine was an amazing woman and mother, she was always kind, caring and considerate. Always supportive and generous with her love and time. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Josephines viewing on Thursday, June 6th at the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ from 830 AM to 1030 AM, from 1030AM until 1045AM a time of remembrance's will be held at the Funeral Home. A mass will follow at 11AM at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church located at 161 Pitman Avenue, Pitman New Jersey 08071. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
