Obituary of Sarah R. Field

Sarah R. Field "Sally" passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2024 at the age of 88. Predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley H. Field who passed away in 2005, born to her parents Joseph and Sarah Shannon. She is survived by her children, Ken Field, Maryanne(Thomas) Charlton and Tim(Tiffany) Field and her grandchildren, Tara Charlton, Christopher Charlton and Michael Field. Sarah was born in Philadelphia and raised in Deptford, NJ, graduating from Woodbury High School in 1954. She was a resident of Barnsboro for 49 years before moving to Sewell in 2005. Sarah was a devout catholic and a long-time member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (Mary Mother of Mercy Parish) and served on many of the church committees. She worked for Gloucester County Community College for over 20 years in the Learning Resource Center where she really enjoyed helping and working with the students. Friends may greet the family from 9 AM to 10:15 AM on Friday May 31st, at the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. A Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 161 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ at 1030AM. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Sewell, NJ.
