Obituary of Leona D. Ballinger

With great sadness Leona D. Ballinger nee Magee, passed away on May 18th at the age of 83. She is predeceased by her loving husband Herbert E. Ballinger. She is survived by her loving children David Ballinger and his wife Lisa, and Douglas Ballinger and beloved grandchildren David Jr., Lauren and Katie. Leona was born in Philadelphia, raised in Glassboro graduating from Glassboro High in 1958 but she considered herself a lifelong resident of Mullica Hill. She married Herb in 1959 and was the Municipal Clerk and Administrator for Harrison Twp. before retiring for 22 years. During retirement she enjoyed travelling, working in her beautiful gardens and spending time with her grandchildren. The Ballingers have always been part of the agricultural community in Mullica Hill, she was also a member of the Historical Society in Harrison Twp. She will be missed dearly by her family. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers can be made in Leona's honor to Richwood Methodist Church, 104 Richwood Rd., Richwood, NJ 08074.
