Obituary of Carmella M. Desiderio

Carmella M. "Carmie" Desiderio nee Bartucci passed away peacefully Friday, May 10th with her family by her side. Born in Williamstown, Carmie was raised in Glassboro where she remained for her entire life. Carmie was known to be extremely crafty, turning money into works of art. Along with her famous money Slot Machines and Roses, her stunning floral arrangements filled the entirety of South Jersey. She was always surrounded by furry companions as well. More than any hobby of hers, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carmie was an incredible role model for everyone in her life with her around-the-clock positive outlook on life. She was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church as well as St. Anthony's Women's Auxiliary. Carmie is predeceased by her parents Jenny and Rocco Salamone and two sons Dominic and Rocco Desiderio and his wife Elaine. She is survived by her children Denise (Samuel) D'Amico, Joseph (Sid) Desiderio, Darlene (Michael) Allen, Deborah Collinsworth and Daniel (Danielle) Desiderio, 18 grandchildren Dion, Deanna(Robert), David(Rebecca), Dante, Joseph(Tammy), Alana(Travis), Dilan, Rocco, Melissa(Windy), Michael(Trisha), Gabrielle, David Jr., Kyle, Dara(Patrick), Desirae(Josh), Dianna(Jonathan), Danielle and Alex, 12 great grandchildren, brothers Anthony(Ann) Salamone, Lawrence(Carol) Salamone and Frank Bartucci and many nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects and greet the family on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 9 AM until 11 AM in the Kelley Funeral Home, 125 Pitman Ave. Pitman, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Interment to follow at St. Joe's Cemetery Blackwood, NJ. A luncheon following the Interment will be held at St. Anthony's Club at 111 Church St, Glassboro, NJ.
