Gen was married for 52 years to her soulmate, John, who preceded her in death in 2009. She was also predeceased by her brother Harold and sisters Elizabeth, Marie and Dorothy. Gen was known for her deep love of her family, her church family, and the Philadelphia Phillies. She had a kind and giving spirit that was evident to all who had the privilege to know her.
