Going back 34 years ago, it was after my brother Jerry‘s wedding. It was the next morning and everybody was going to breakfast. I believe the restaurant was in Bridgehampton Long Island, New York. The waitress seemed overwhelmed by the crowd, and Mike asked her you think you need some help, he put on an apron and grabbed the towel. Next thing you know Mike was waiting on tables. Even went into the kitchen and brought out food for the attendees that went to the wedding the day before up at John Ducks. Mike was a fantastic waiter when family members came in to have breakfast and they seen Mike, They Started to chuckle. Mike was a fantastic waiter that morning. This was a fantastic memory of Mike I’m sure in time God will have him making wooden Restaurant traysfor waiters ,waitresses Yet to come, My sincerest sympathy for Susan and Her family. Sincerely, Betsy Toy

Even late in life, Big Mike was showing us how it should be. My daughter asked him her mom and dad could come by the house more so we would be a family again. Big Mike let it sit maybe a day when I got the call from Megan that were ALL going to see pop today. He let me back into what life he had left to show, not only LJ, but show us ALL how to forgive.
I could ramble on about stories of boozin and father n laws throwin future son n laws over the shoulder, carrying him 10 blocks but I want to share a poem with you all from Charles Osgood:
Man is mortal, this is true,
And yes this applies to woman too.
To each of us , to those we love, and to our dearest friends:
At some point human life begins, and at some point it ends. We don't know when.
Life is dispensed in different amounts.
But it is not how LONG we lives,
ITS HOW WE LIVED THAT COUNTS!
Death like life is natural, and not to be afraid of.
IF YOU LOVE LIFE, GAURD WELL YOUR TIME,
FOR TIME IS THE STUFF LIFES MADE OF.
We all love you Mike.

You can tell a lot about a person by the family they’ve raised. I’m so grateful to have had the experience of getting to know a little bit of Mike in his last days on this planet.
The love and admiration his family expressed is a testament to his legacy.

Where to begin. First I’m sincerely sorry for your loss sue, Megan, Kelli, Mike and the rest of the family I have not had a chance to meet. Mike was a second dad down in victory lakes. I was a little shit when I was a kid and he helped rein that in. He helped us build a tree fort in our back yard, he helped us build our deck, he had me on stilts for the first time and I remember helping him clean up at my aunt Karen’s house and víctor desanstis house on victory avenue. I remember listening to Phil Collins when cds first came out in your house and countless other memories. Mike Always was kind genuine and a great neighbor and dad. To all of the times we had together.cheers! Individually and as families we had a great time! Mike you will never be forgotten and I wish the best to all of you in the future!
