Sorry to the family for your loss. Growing up in town, I knew of Clarence and Beryl but didn't know them.
Until I worked with Clarence at K-Tron many moons ago. He slid up to me quietly and introduced himself-and then talking with Beryl--leaning that she grew up in Pt Norris---who ever heard of that place?? Funny stories and Clarence sat
smiling, listening to his bride tell them-love in his eyes. Just a kind, gentle person who will be missed, I'm sure by his family.

I first met Clarence on a Saturday afternoon. He was in the backyard, playing with his sons, Butch and Craig. It was before Frank and Mike were even born. I will always remember his commitment to his family and his friendship to me as I became his sister-in-law when I married Beryl's brother, Frank Schubert. We had some good family times together and some sad times, too, but through it all, we enjoyed sharing our lives with Clarence and the family. Clarence had many interests and talents, and he was always a pleasure to be with. He will surely be missed.

My family and I were fortunate to have Clarence and Beryl as our neighbors. Always pleasant to be around. I personally admired their dedication to family, hard working attitudes, and gentle spirits. Although I miss seeing their smiling faces I wish the Kane family and their friends comfort in knowing that Clarence and Beryl are together again.

Dear Family, When I saw the picture of Clarence and his lovely bride, I had to pause... After living next to them for 43 years, I never knew those two youthful people. Barbara and I grew to know and love the "older" couple next door. The picture is truly priceless to us... Clarence and his family were always the finest neighbors a young couple could imagine. Never a cross word. Never any tension. Always welcoming and kind. Their civic-minded contributions are known to many. When I recently sat down to talk with Clarence, he reminisced about his early days and the home he built on Carew Avenue for his lovely bride. As he shared those memories, I sensed his heart filling up. He too paused... He must have been seeing the same picture in his heart that I just viewed. What a remarkable life. Barb and I are richer for having lived next to Beryl and Clarence all these years. You can pick your friends, not always so with neighbors. We count them among our blessings.
