I am so saddened to hear about Tony’s passing last year. I had the honor of working for him for 11 years and he was always a kind and caring man. Nothing will replace those years spent at his company, it felt like a family. Tony is also directly responsible for me moving to Arizona when one morning he stopped at my desk and “suggested” I take a vacation there. He would often talk about AZ and how he loved the state, and made me love it too. My heart goes out to Eleanor, Heidi and the entire family. What a great man. ♥️

I am so very sorry for your loss and my delay in writing this. Sir Tony found a way to work hard, long hours and yet, make time for family, friends and fun. His belief in me gave me the confidence to leave home and pursue a career in education despite the fact that I was employed in his computer department at the time.
The world was blessed to have him in it, and he will be remembered with love, as I hold each and every one of you In the Light.
Love,
Rita Marquez-Williams

To the Jannetti family and all the staff at AJJannetti,
My prayers and thoughts are with you at the loss of an icon who has supported nursing and many health professions over the past 5 decades. Tony was a leader, mentor and friend. Always seeing the best in everyone and encouraging all to find their path. His experience and guidance found a stable path for AANNT and help the organization grow and expand. He will be missed but always fondly remembered.

Tony Jannetti - a loving, caring, and personable soul. He could always make me laugh and I always knew I was a friend. I met him at the very first Academy of Meducal Surgical Nurses conventions and was struck by his commitment to my nursing profession. I was incredibly lucky to have been able to accept a position in the National office that Tony offered to me and for more than 10 years enjoyed talking with him and getting to know his lovely family. I consider my time there to be a highlight of my career but also the best “job” of my life - deep friendships and incredible professional experiences which only happened for me because of Tony - and his family. I treasure his memory and he will always be in my heart.

I can close my eyes and hear his wonderful laugh. Ellie and family, so sorry for your loss. I, too, am from a family of sister-only siblings, so I understand how a huge bear hug from Tony -- surounding his girls -- would be a wonderful memory. I remember visitng the Boulders home and the shore home with fondness. In 1996-98, Tony and I were 'in the chairs' at the same time for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Board of Directors. Tony from the association management side, with my being from Am Academy of Family Physicians. Tony and I met around 1981 when I was (then) in convention sales for the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Bureau. I'll never forget Tony in the lobby of the new Vista Hotel in Washington DC -- "holding court" -- with tons of friends around him laughing and laughing. He was always the life of the party. With a huge, wonderful heart. RIP my friend. You left a wonderful mark on this world. Mickey

TO THE JANNETTI FAMILIES :
This is a time to grieve the loss of my very best friend. It’s very difficult to remember a special memory because they were all very special so I would like to tell about where and when we met. It was May 1956 on a Radar Air Force site in northern NM. When I arrived Tony asked me if I would be his roommate, the barracks had rooms for two people. Next he asked if I would be on his work crew, so I said yes and this was the beginning of a friendship not to be forgotten. We were only transferred to one other Radar site before we were discharged and that was near Albuquerque,NM. We always made phone calls and later in life we would meet at Tony and Eleanors home out west. We also met here in MN.
I will pray for Gods Comfort for the Jannetti families.

It is with deep sadness that we bid farewell to Tony Jannetti. Over nearly three decades of shared experiences, working with Tony, his children on nursing conferences at Disney Resorts, I came to cherish the warmth he brought each time I visited his meetings team at Headquarters.
Tony's presence at the AJJ offices in Pitman, NJ, was always a source of joy. Our conversations, peppered with updates on Eleanor, his grandchildren, and their many accomplishments, were a testament to the deep bonds of family and friendship that he held dear. And, of course, no exchange was complete without a lively discussion about our shared love for Italian cooking.
Tony's legacy at AJJ is one of enduring relationships and unwavering dedication. As a representative of Disney Meetings, I am grateful for his tireless commitment to the meetings industry and the invaluable contributions he made to our company.
To Tony's family and friends, I offer my heartfelt condolences. May you find solace in the cherished memories you shared with him, and may his spirit continue to live on in the lives he touched.
With deepest sympathy,

I had the honor and privilege in getting to know Tony and Eleanor when I was stationed in Pitman and Glassboro as the pastor of Mary, Mother of Mercy. I really enjoyed their company. We continued keeping in touch when I moved to be pastor at St. Brendan the Navigator in Avalon and Stone Harbor. I am very saddened that I could not be in attendance at Tony’s funeral as my sister is actively dying and I am in PA with her. I will offer many masses for the repose of Tony’s beautiful soul and pray for the Lord’s comfort and consolation of Eleanor, the entire family, friends, and all of us who were touched by Tony’s beautiful life and love, and mourn his loss. His reward in heaven is great as he lived and loved in the image of Jesus. My deepest sympathy and love~Fr. Bill Kelly

Tony was a knowledgeable mentor and an all around fun guy. As a Past President of NAON, I remember going out to dinner as the whole (all female at the time) Board. The waiters were always jealous of Tony with his “HAREM”! I have fond memories of our times together and send my condolences to his family and all the people at A.J. Jannetti. Inc.

With tender hearts, we mourn the loss of our beloved mentor, Anthony. His generous spirit enveloped all who had the blessing to work under his discerning light at NAON. A man of kindness imbued with a unique humor, Tony's profound wisdom guided us in showcasing talents and capabilities within orthopedic nursing that might never have surfaced without his vision. Cherished dearly in life as he will be valued in memory, Tony leaves an irreplaceable void but an enduring legacy.

It was a privilege to work with Toni in my role as a past president of NAON. He was, indeed a man of honor and integrity. His sense of humor was incomparable. As a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico we had some great conversations regarding his time spent in New Mexico. I considered him to be a friend, a mentor and a confidante. As a past CEO of the Oncology Nursing Society, I knew Tony for many years. He helped our society become stronger financially but more importantly he demonstrated that a good business relationship is based on honesty and trust and decency which is all that Tony Jannetti represented. I went on to have a wonderful relationship with Tony and Eleanor as a friend. I will miss him and our talks over the years. My condolences to his wonderful family.

Tony was a mentor in my life, and someone I could never help smiling around. He taught me so much about the events industry, encouraged me to get involved and volunteer, give back to help those behind you; and his family stories and pride in his children was a never ending well of how you should live your life. We had a chance to get together on a trip to Dallas a couple of years ago, and it was like I saw him yesterday. My best to El and all his beloved family.
