Mr Meduri was simply special. He moved to a new town and as a newcomer in an insular town became one of its leading citizens. He was an inspiring coach who taught many discipline and how to compete. He put the wrestling team on track for success by running for school board and hiring Al Sye a D1 All American as coach. The program quickly produced District, Regional and Pitman’s first two State Champs. He also coached football and baseball touching more lives. His legacy is first his family. All very successful in athletics, business and with their own families. His second legacy is all who learned from that great man. Many of us went on to coach and help mentor future generations to payback what he gave us. I have been lucky to spend time with him as a boy, a young man and now middle aged. I am better for all of it. We shared a love of Ancestry and our friend from Calabria. My condolences to his children(and spouses)and grandchildren who lost a great human being. My deepest wishes are for Mrs. Meduri who is without the love of her life for the first time in 65 years. May she find comfort that her wonderful husband is definitely watching from above in Heaven.

I have some very fond memories of Mr Meduri that go all the way back to my junior wrestling days where he was one of the head coaches. What an athletic, high EQ, no non-sense, role model that he set for us all.

I want to thank everyone for their tributes to my father and for all the kind words we are receiving. This outpouring of love and support is truly a testament to the great man my father was.
I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting in the past few days to put things in perspective.
I think back on the joy that I felt the day my daughter Carina was born and the first day I laid eyes on my daughter Brianna. It was a feeling I had never experienced; I really didn’t know it was possible to be that happy and to love them that much. I know that loving feeling I had for my daughters is the same way my father felt about his family.
Conversely, the sadness I felt the day my father passed away was the most sorrow-filled feeling I have ever suffered. Even though we knew the end was coming, it was still hard to accept.
My Dad was the best Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He was the most selfless human being I have ever known, always putting the needs of others in front of his own. He instilled values in his children that he lived on a daily basis – integrity, loyalty, accountability, kindness, and hard work.
Dad always strived to put us on the right path and give us the skills we needed to become successful and productive adults. When we were young, the father/child relationship was clear; he was our dad first and our friend second. As we became older, a true friendship and mutual respect developed that I will always hold dear in my heart.
My parents made incredible sacrifices throughout their life and made certain that they played an integral part in the lives of their children and grandchildren. I can’t remember a time when our parents missed one of our games or activities throughout our adolescent years, high school, or college. Even as my dad started to become ill, my parents rarely missed a game or event in support of their grandchildren.
My father’s positive influence extended well beyond his immediate family. He played an essential role in shaping the lives of many young men through his coaching activities. Many of the young men he mentored have gone on to have successful careers and lives. More importantly, I love seeing the impact he had in helping these men become honorable people.
I also want to take this opportunity to recognize how much our mom did for my dad as his illness began to progress. I was fortunate to see firsthand the devoted and loving attention that mom gave to dad in his final months. Mom was tireless in her care of my father, and he let me know several times how much he appreciated everything she did for him.
It warmed my heart and comforted me to know she was sitting next to him and holding his hand as he took his last breath. I pray that everyone on this earth gets to someday experience a relationship like the one my dad and mom shared.
We will miss him more than words can ever describe but his memory will live in us forever. We love you dad.

I can remember when he was "hoss" He would help the younger kids, as a football coach, for the "Oilers". I watched him grow into the man he is today. My "dad" asked him and he jumped to the to the occasion. He was an amazing man I am glad to call him a friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Meduri is one of the finest men I've ever known. He took the time to inspire me in my formative years, and I chose him to be my God Father. His impact on me is eternal, as I was baptized due to his impact and influence on my life. I know I will enjoy his company forever, along with countless others he impacted like me and my brothers. I love the Meduri Family, and can't express the depth of my sorrow in Mr. Meduri's passing. I can envision his homecoming into the arms of our Lord, who I am sure is well pleased with his lifetime of impact and work well done!

Helen Ann and Joe Kroll always held Anthony in the highest of esteem. Joe was his water boy at all the wrestling matches. We were so blessed to be a part of the Pitman wrestling family. He impacted the lives of my three sons in the finest ways. He will be greatly missed but He has won the greatest match of his life and God had welcomed one of his finest. Rest in Peace my friend.
