I had to do the math of how long Laurie and I have known each other... almost 15 years. Laurie was just as warm and welcoming when we met her first day at Lesaffre as she was when I hugged her goodbye at our sales meeting last August. When I'd help her at work, she'd always say "I have a metal plate over my home causing my computer and phone to go nuts!". So many phone calls, sales meetings, conversations that I will treasure forever. I will always remember that last hug in Milwaukee...
Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again.

I first met Laurie this past year when I joined the marketing team at Lesaffre on a trip to Disney. The moment I met her, it was clear she loved her people fiercely. She had a natural motherly instinct and took in those around her under her wing. Laurie was a resilient person, I admired this quality about her. Independent, fun, and kind hearted; she was someone who you felt comfortable and at ease in her presence. She emanated such strength and a loving energy. My only regret is that I didn't have the opportunity to get to know her better, but in the moments we did share she made such an impact that will never be forgotten. Her life serves as a reminder to us all to live each day in service and kindness to those around you, as you never know whose lives you will touch. You will be missed, Laurie!

My best memories of Laurie will always be about her kindness and joyful attitude. She truly brought light into every room she entered and was always so positive. She was very well respected by her customers and colleagues. Laurie was witty and straightforward and cared about everyone. I will miss her and I send my deepest condolences to her family and friends at this impossibly difficult time.
Warmest regards,
Ralf

Laurie was always full of energy and would never take no for an answer. I had the pleasure of working with her at Lesaffre in a sales capacity and we talked a lot, sharing the good and the bad. There were many times I talked her "off the fence" and she did the same with me.
She was very well respected by her customers, brokers and co-workers. As she didn't take no for an answer, a number of customers would make an appointment knowing they were in for a storm if they said no. She had the ability to bring passion, facts and a style that would make it hard for a retailer to say no but they did sometimes. When that happened if just fired her up even more and that was now the target for the following years category review.
We lost a great person this week and I'm a better person for knowing her and using her technics in my business world. She loved Jimmy and her family so much that she talked about them all of the time. She was loved by everyone she knew and worked with and the sadness of this loss will not go away.
I'm privileged to have known Laurie for the last 11 years and she is missed. Rest in peace Kopko!

I am truly sadden to hear about the loss of Laurie. As a colleague of hers at Lesaffre, it was always fun to discuss with her about her passion for her career and yeast. She was a believer in that Platinum :). She truly was such a joy to be around and full of energy and light. I know this end journey was so sudden, but I know she will forever remain in our hearts. When I work on new projects for our consumer line, I will forever know she's with us looking forward to seeing what we can launch next.
Sending my condolences to all of her family.
Sherrill Cropper, Lesaffre

I was so sorry to hear about Laurie. I haven't seen any of you in years, but Midge has kept me updated. I remember the first time I went to your house and and met you all; Midge, Peggy, Rob, Mindy, Rick, and Laurie and immediately fell in love; even though I was the first Jewish person you actually knew. My husband Carl and I want you all to know all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Please give your mother my love when you see her, I always send her a kiss.

I got out my photo albums so as to find my brother's childhood birthday parties and to find Laurie's pretty little face. And there she is, playing party games in our back yard and eating cake and ice cream with the other child guests. The Boucher family lived next door and helped my family so much in so many ways, especially after my mother died when my brother was five. They were wonderful neighbors and I know losing sweet Laurie at so young an age is a very painful loss for all of them.

Laurie loved her family so very much. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with Laurie, but when we did time would fly. Laurie was very kind to Ted, Melanie and Teddy, and that was precious. My heart goes out to Jimmy, Belinda, Derek and the family. God bless.

Laurie will be so sadly missed, after being classmates for 8 years I was glad to be given the opportunity to get to know her again, I was her hairstylist for the past few years…it wasn’t long enough she was so strong and had such love for her husband and children I can’t imagine their pain.

Dear Jimmy and family, I will always cherish the memories us “cosmetic girls” had working at John Wanamakers. The bond we formed was so strong it lasted throughout many years even though our get togethers were few and far between. Laurie will certainly be missed and it won’t be the same without her at our next reunion. We love you Laurie! Rest in heavenly peace!

Dear Jimmy, Derek and Adrienne,
Laurie left this world far too early, however the positive impact she had on so many lives is timeless.
We strive to leave a wonderful and lasting impression; Laurie succeeded.
It's apparent that Laurie was a great wife and loving mother but she was also a true friend and great colleague.
I'm sharing this photo; it is my favorite and shows pure joy on her face; that was my favorite moment with Laurie (when she was
petting a wolf during a convention in CO in 2018).
God bless you and your family; I will hold you in my prayers,
Sandi

JIm and Family, I would like to offer my sincere condolences to each of you first. I worked with Laurie for 14 years in the Grocery industry and what a Wonderful Friend we all have lost. Laurie always had a million-dollar smile that would light up your life and she always made herself available to assist no matter what the issue was. Our D & H Marketing Family has been praying for Laurie and Yourself during this and we will continue to pray for each of you in the weeks to come. God has a plan for her in Heaven and I will see her one day.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Ronnie Rudd

Dear Jimmy, Derek and Belinda,
I was friends with your wife/ mother for 30 years. My heart and deepest condolences goes out to all of you. Laurie knew how to light up a room. This picture I posted was from my wedding when your Mom was my bridesmaid. She was the most loving, giving, generous kindness person I had the honor of calling my friend. My memories are long and she will never be forgotten as she will always be in my heart as she is in your heart. She left us to soon. I know the heavens open when she passed and God will watch over her. Laurie my dearest friend rest peacefully. You were so loved by everyone that knew you. You fought so hard to survive and we’re breaking all the odds. Sadly your battle was lost. I loved you my bestie. When I look up into the heavens I know you’ll be looking down. You are at peace and for that I am forever grateful even though selfishly I want you here. RIP!

Dear Jim and Family, I am so saddened to hear about Laurie's passing. She was such a sweet, kind person. I always enjoyed talking with her at the gym. She always kept it real and had me laughing. I know the past several months have been tremendously difficult, but I hope a lifetime of wonderful memories will comfort you.
