I only learned today (01-14-24) about Mrs. MacKorkle's passing. I was so sorry to hear! I thought the world of her. I've talked about her a lot ,over the years. She was the best elementary teacher I ever had! I attended her retirement dinner, sooo many years ago. And later getting in trouble when I let her through security at Glassboro College when the US and Russia met. I'll never forget her. God Bless! John Leach/Pitman

Jeanne was a "tough old broad", our family's highest compliment.... We all knew and loved her for many years up at camp on Lake Sacandaga in the southeast section of the Adirondack Park in New York. She had a wonderful attitude and a great family. I have so many good memories.... Thinking of the whole MacCorkle gang!

The MacCorkle's were our neighbors on Florence Avenue when I was a boy. The family was full of energy! Jeanne tutored me in algebra (to no avail). Our families were very friendly in our tight knit neighborhood. We lost touch many years ago. God Bless Jeanne and her family

Jeanne was one angel for the Pitman Presbyterian Church we attended. Fond memories of Senior High fellowship with Jeanne and my father as well. She was always energized with getting the youth involved in programs and nicely suggesting we join the youth choir. Her support of the Boy Scouts of America is another cherished memory. Grace and Peace be with you Jeanne and your family.

A great honor has been given to the caretakers of Fairhaven and that was to care for Mrs.J. McCorkle during this journey. The sparkle in her eyes and the brightness of her smile let us know she had discovered the silver lining in life. Grace and peace be with you all. Karen Miller

Jeanne lifted the spirits of everyone she met. She impacted the teens of our church with our participation in the Chapel choir, exposing us to traditional religious music and allowing us to experience upbeat Christian music. She also supported the teachers and students in the Pitman School district as the director of the Child Study team. Her retirement gift from our team was a hot air balloon ride through the countryside. While she took flight, we followed her by car as she enjoyed her ride. She was smiling the entire ride.
