Obituary of Peter J. Duca

Peter J. Duca, age 97, died on September 24, 2023 at his home in Glassboro where he lived most of his life. Peter graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1944. Peter served in the US Navy as a Gunners Mate from 1944-1946 during World War II. He worked for Mobil Oil in Paulsboro for 35 years, retiring in 1983. Peter was an active member of St. Bridget's Church in Glassboro and was a former baseball coach for Glassboro Little League. Peter was a member of the Pitman Country Club where he had two holes in one, Tall Pines Country Club, Glassboro VFW #679 and the Glassboro American Legion. He was predeceased by his wife Katherine Rose Guinta, infant children Kathleen and Maryann and brother Joseph Duca. Survived by his children Diane (Richard) Larzelere, JoAnne (John) Carothers, Mark (Melanie) Duca, James Flamma, Lisa DeMedio, grandchildren Andrew and Kelsey Larzelere, Dayna (Heather Kilichowski) Carothers, Tara (William) Cox, John (Kelly) Carothers III, Eric (Megan) Duca, Kristie (Brian) Doughty, siblings Rose Novotny, Josephine Kappra, Charles Duca, Madeline Gentile, Viola Arrivello, Cathy Vicere and 13 great grandchildren. Friends may greet the family after 10am on Monday, October 2, 2023 in St. Bridget's Church, 125 Church St., Glassboro, NJ 08028. Funeral mass will be at 11am. Interment Manahath Cemetery.
