In an age when Clairol, Revlon, L'O'real , and Sun-In competed for the perfect formula to make MSU coeds' beach blondes, All MaryAnn had to do was shake her head. She was cute! She was beautiful! She was a STAR with her guitar at folk masses and get-togethers. She was kind. She had the courage of her convictions. She was adventurous. No "dumb blonde" moniker for her, as she did a summer internship at Harvard. By now, she's probably met up with Jake and Jerry. Spartans need all the "Secret Weapons" they can get. SPARTANS WILL. GO GREEN! GO WHITE! Looking for ya past the pylons & between the Uprights. Mary Ann, you are now FREE of the after-effects of that cursed polio virus. But you will always be BLONDE.

Mary Ann, the sweet smiling blond in the center, was a lively member of our group who met for Mass at Alumni Chapel at Michigan State. Her guitar playing and spirit led to unforgettable music. And she was so full of excitement at the adventure we were all taking as we explored life and God and friendships. Those friendships never died, even though we went to all parts of the world. Mary Ann was always a constant, someone I could call any time. I will miss her. But heaven is singing better than ever.
