Dear Rick and Charlie....Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time...
I will always remember the family gatherings and Aunt Marie and Uncle Charles.. I remember calling them my country relatives..living by the farms...Cedar Lake was right by them too...
We visited when they moved back up from Florida usually at Christmas and Easter times..Always love the stories they told us..
Glad they will be together with Peggy now.
Love and God bless.Suzanne and Steve and family

Mr. Brett was my husband, Howard's roommate in the Veteran's Home. Mr. Brett used to say, Oh good, the family's here! When Beth and I visited with Howard in the room, Mr. Brett was always so kind and welcoming. He had such a nice smile, and we loved to greet him to see it!
We will all miss Mr. Brett!

Charles Brett was my father's roommate at the Veteran's Home. He would always volunteer to lend a chair to make our visits more comfortable. Through our conversations I consider him a friend and will miss him and think of him often.

Dear Rick and Chuck,
I was sad to hear the news regarding your father. We all know however he was waiting for this day to come since February 2007. I hope he is at peace and with dear Aunt Marie and Peggy too.
Whenever I think of Uncle Charlie I smile. He always had a comment that made people laugh. He was a great man. The entire Brett family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Betty

So sorry to hear of Uncle Charlie's passing. He was a favorite Uncle and my godfather. As he was my father's brother, we were close to Aunt Marie and Uncle Charlie and their family. Many happy memories of visits to their home and the fun times we shared. His passing is the passing of a beloved generation of aunts and uncles and we miss them.
