I was so glad thatI had the opportunity to see Teresa before her passing. We have been friends from grade school on. We shared our time together with our families moving from Philly to N.J. Teresa you will be truly missed, may you R.I.P my dear friend. I found some pics of a luncheon we had at Riverwinds, I like to share. My condolences to the family, it’s hard to understand why people are taken from us, may happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time.

Aunt Teresa, you are every bit my Aunt as my real Aunts are. I don’t have a memory of a big family party that you and Uncle Steve were not at. Your picture will forever be on our backyard bar! You helped make our Halloween parties amazing. I will miss you and your twinkly smile very much. You are loved very much by the Sargent clan. Rest peacefully on the fluffiest cloud in Heaven! Luv you, kimi & Kenny

After I married, during my birthday grandma Teresa visited us along with my uncle Johnny, aunt Teresa, Billy, Danny, and Ali. She was a sweet grandma. Always welcome everyone with a loving smile on her face. We had a pet bird, and we kept the cage open all the time, so that the bird can fly around the house freely. When grandma was in my house talking to us, all of the sudden the bird started to fly and then I realized that grandma has fear of birds.
I am praying for her rest in peace. She will be always in my thoughts and heart.

Teresa and I met almost 75 years ago when we started first grade. We became friends in grade school and have remained friends ever since. I wanted my ears pierced like hers and she wanted curls like mine. We were in the choir even though we couldn’t sing. I think the nun let us in because Teresa took piano lessons and I took singing lessons. Piano lessons were $1.00 and singing lesson were 25 cents. One of my best memories was when her mother and father took us to Clementon Park and stopped for pizza. What a treat, It was the first time I ever had it.
In high school we shared most classes and she never got tired of laughing at my translations in Latin class. I was too stunned to laugh at her when we dyed her blond hair black. Who knew it would turn green? In the evenings our group ( I wouldn’t call us a gang) danced on the corner to the music from a transistor radio.
She married Steve soon after high school and her brother Frannie and I were their witnesses. We kept in touch and after years of traveling around as a military wife my husband and I settled down in Franklinville. We picked up where we left off. Dinners at either house and then lunches out when we didn’t want to cook.
I can’t remember that we ever had disagreements. The only thing we had “friendly debates” about was our love of reading. I wanted her to read books on her tablet and she wanted to check books out of the library. I will miss her more than I can say but I smile at the memories and think how lucky I was to have such a friend for so long.
