My acquaintance with Delores was when one night she and Alice P were taking a walk in Pitman. My mom knew Delore and Alice as my mom had worked for Alice for years and helped with the craft show.
I rode by and I yelled "I like your Rotti (she was fostering Roxie)". She yelled back "you want her". I said "you're kidding". That was it. I brought Roxie home to my house for the next 13 years.
I took Roxie once to see Delores.
Always had fond feelings for Delores for introducing and giving me Roxie.

Diane,
I am so sorry for your family's loss
Your Mom was truly one of the kindest, caring people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing
She will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so glad I was able to talk with her several times at the Manor. Her sense of humor was ever present despite the physical maladies she dealt with later in life. I will miss her bright smile....your Mom was an absolutely amazing lady and the world is a better place for her having been in it. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

A true icon and legend of 91 years left earthside this week. How do you say goodbye to someone who means so much to you?
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the guidance, love, support, wisdom & wit of my dear beloved Memom. We are twins born in different eras. Everything she loved, I loved too. My fondest memories in life are with her. She was not only my grandmom but my biggest cheerleader, my seamstress, my go-to for anything & my best friend. She was kind, resilient, funny, loving and a damn good line dancer & mahjong player. I know her memory will live on as the owner of Broadway Fashions and a founder of the Pitman Craft Show & Christmas parade.
See you again my sweet angel. Continue to guide and watch over me until we see each other again.

Early this morning we lost the most beautiful soul, Dolores Jeanne Albertson Haegele aka my “Memom.” Memom, you had the wittiest sense of humor, the kindest heart and the most resilient strength. Everyone that knew you, loved you. Many will remember you as being the owner of Broadway Fashions and one of the founders of the Pitman Craft Show; but I will remember you by so much more. From line-dancing to Stayin’ Alive at the clubhouse and watching you play mahjong with the girls in your kitchen; to eating apples and peanut butter during late night Jeopardy and playing in the park by your neighborhood; to spending time with you while you hemmed all of my prom dresses and learning how to crochet blankets, solve puzzles and play the organ with you. Thank you for being the best grandmom ever. I will cherish all of these moments with you, until we meet again…Love you forever & always Meme
