Bill, Lauren, and family, our deepest condolences on the lost of your dad. Although I never had the privilege of meeting him in person I still felt connected through the brotherhood of firefighters. Both my father-in-law and husband sharing that same 'fire' desire would often share stories when they were called in to help assist each others towns. One of the most memorable was when the United Methodist Church caught fire and besides distinguishing the flames they all fought so hard to save the 'cross' on top of the church. That 'cross' now sits fully intact on the new church. When I drive by it I will always remember the man I never personally met. Please keep these memories close to your heart and know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest easy now. Love, Marion and Mike Wigglesworth and family.

I extend my sympathies to the Ewe Family.
I very much mourn the death of Bill Ewe my “best friend” from 1949 to 1970 and a friend throughout our lives. Bill and I were inseparable playing every day for twenty years football, baseball, ice hockey, go-carts, and golf. His influence extended to Highland Fire Company, Harley Davidson Fat Boys, sports cars and race cars.
He was The New Jersey State College Golf Individual Champion around 1969 playing either first or second position on the GSC golf team sharing that first position with Leo. His golf was always straight drives with a shortened two wood and second shot next to the pin with DX Tourney irons.
Bill was a great husband, great father and grandfather, community leader, and great employee at ACE, and great friend.
Bill will greatly be missed.

I met Bill and Jeanne 43 years ago when I joined the Fire House. From day one Bill was always there, he taught each and everyone how to fight fire's, but most important how to stay safe. He was a mentor in my life which I will never forget. Bill and Jeanne became one of my best friends ever. As our families grew we did so much together, camping, dinner, sports, trips. This all has continued and won't ever stop. Bill was a great family man. Jeanne you had a great husband!!! Boys a great father!!!! and finally he was a great grandfather!!!!! Bill was a friend to everyone. As we all know Bill hated his wheelchair!!! When he arrived at the pearly gates he stood up and said I have one final thing to do, he picked the wheelchair up and threw it to HELL. This is only only fire Bill wouldn't put out. Now Tigger has his bounce back. Rest in Peace my friend.

Bill was more than just a fellow firefighter but a lifelong friend and brother as we grew up as neighbors with our houses backing up to each other on Colonial/Kenton Aves. We literally grew up hanging around Highland as little kids, often "picking up the shoes" on the Engine Room floor as our dads' went off to fight another fire. He will not only be missed around Highland, but throughout Pitman, as a true civic leader. If there is a Fire Station in Heaven, I am sure he has already joined up.

Jeanne and the boys, I was lucky to grow up in the same extended neighborhood as Bill. So my memories actually started when we both attended the old Summit Ave Elementary School and extended all through his life. Whether it was seeing him working the carnivals, marching in the parade with Highland, at Kelleys, in the Bank, sporting events or just walking downtown on your way to breakfast, he was always smiling and had something nice to say. He truly was one of Pitmans finest. I’m thankful for his many years of friendship and was so glad I was able to see and talk with him at the Carnival last September. He was one of the good guys. I will never forget him or his smile! He will be missed.

Mr. Ewe stopped in Peter Lumber countless times. Every single time he was good for a smile and or to say something to give us a hearty laugh. He (along with his wife) gave the world two of the funniest brothers I know. Brett and Brian. You will be missed, Mr. Ewe.

Lara and I did not have the pleasure of knowing Bill longer, but in the time we did, we got to know a thoughtful, intelligent and loving man. God always prepares a special place for the heroes he calls home. Our deepest condolences go to Jeanne, all of the Ewe sons and their families.
With all our love and support,
