Certainly enjoyed knowing you, Bob, for all these past years. Will miss your friendship and the many fine conversations we've had over time. The kids loved and respected you as a teacher and you always told them "they way it was and what life was all about" -will miss you. Until we meet again!

I was one of Mr Eck's students from the class of 1984. He was one of my favorite teachers. He was a great guy. Was down to earth and told it like it was. No sugar coating it. I appreciated his honesty. Truly sorry for the lost. RIP Mr Eck.

Mr. Eck was my freshman English teacher and track coach. I still fondly remember running 440 intervals and his lessons on "All Quiet on the Western Front." It was really great to see him coaching in recent years. He was exactly as I had remembered him: Knowledgeable, caring, and always in good humor. He was a natural teacher and coach and Pitman was lucky to have him these many decades. My sincerest condolences to the Eck family. Bob will be missed by many.

Mr eck was my favorite teacher at pitman high school. He has the most amazing sense of humor and chose me for teacher choice award my senior year. Even after I had graduated he would check up on me via Facebook. We had a lot of inside jokes that I will treasure.

Mr. Eck was one of those teachers who you always remember when you look back. He always had a smile and the extra time to give advice and encouragement to his students. He truly cared and it made all the difference. Class of 1988.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Eck's passing. I think I can speak for just about anyone who was lucky enough to be a part of his team and/or in his classroom: He was the best teacher and coach I've ever had.

Mr. Eck,Coach Eck,
You will be greatly missed. You were so supportive of girls running cross country and track. I will always remember running against ourselves and our own times because most teams did not have girls running. We had the great "fleet four". Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a pioneer in girls track.
I always laugh when I think of you driving past us running the 13 mile coarse and then pulling over, sitting on the hood of your car drinking a coke, as we ran by you. Back then it was annoying. Now I call it motivational.
May God be with your friends and family. Go with God

I had the great pleasure to know and coach against Bob for some 30 years and so valued our friendship and relationship. He not only cared deeply for his athletes at Pitman but represented our conference at all meetings. Bob was genuine and generous; and all who came to know him have been blessed by that experience. God bless you Bob.

Bob was not only a colleague in education but more importantly an inspiration to my three children. He was one of the few teachers my son Josh related to, an inspiration to my daughter Sarah in English, and an amazing Cross Country and Track coach to my daughter Megan.
Thank you, Bob. You will be sadly missed but always fondly remembered.
