Obituary of Edward Charles Bruce Ernst

Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Edward Charles "Bruce" Ernst, age 73, who died on December 26, 2022. Born in Buffalo, NY, Bruce moved to Bellmawr, NJ at a young age. He lived in South Jersey most of his life and has lived in Wenonah for over 20 years. He graduated from Triton High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Always a man of great loyalty and integrity, Bruce turned down a scholarship to Cornell University to serve his country in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War from 1967-1971. Following the war, Bruce continued his studies and achieved a degree and Professional Engineering license in mechanical engineering. Bruce owned and operated Wick Fisher White in Philadelphia for many years. Bruce pursued everything in life, including his hobbies, with passion and dedication. He enjoyed woodworking, playing his guitar, blues music, cars and motorcycles. He was never satisfied until he mastered them, although his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Ellen Marie (Ehlers) and Edward Ernst, and siblings Elizabeth and Mary Ellen. Survived by his wife Kathleen (Stubbs), son James, daughter-in-law Teresa, grandchildren Carson and Liam, and sisters Eileen Onder and Eleanor Quinlan. Friends may greet the family after 9:30am on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Funeral service will be at 11:30am. Interment Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at www.giving.mskcc.org.
