I will never forget Max. He was so kind to me and to my father at Salem Hospital. He knew that I was upset and I thought pop was dying and he gently reassured me with medical facts about his condition that comforted me a great deal. He wanted to go over and above to make the mask fit perfectly and do the best job he could. Genuinely caring health care professional.

Uncle Max, There was never a time I saw you without a smile on your face and your blue eyes always reminded me of the twinkle that Santa Claus has in his! Thank you for coming back home to NJ and making the family time we got to share so special. I love you and look forward to getting one your hugs and a wet kiss right on the lips the next time we see each other again.

Dearest Max,
Please know that you are a hero. You fought the good fight and did everything you could to stay here with your girls. None of it was pleasant and I'm sure some of it was painful and dreadful. We all understand that you had pulled out all the stops and in the end there was nothing left to do but to leave us and wait for us in the next world. We'll love you and miss you forever.

I worked with Ginny, but grew to know Max, Nancy and Virginia. Max was always smiling and upbeat. He was always fun to be around, and was always kind. Ginny always helped me out at work and in my personal life. She is a great person and friend. Love to Virginia, and Nancy who were much younger when I knew them! Love and Prayers to all!

I met Nancy's father while she attended college, he was the funniest dad I had ever met. He was full of life and love. We took a trip to block island for the afternoon it was an unforgettable trip, I got them lost and we walked the entire island. He never let me forget it. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him.
When someone you love becomes a memory, their memory becomes a treasure! God bless, everyone who is grieving this loss.
Love, Minnie Goodrich

To Max's Family, I am so sorry to learn of Max's passing. I was fortunate to be the recipient of Max's winning smile, as a member of the WHS Class of '64. May he rest in peace and may you focus on happy memories.
