Ed was always there for me when I was having my difficulties and he forever responded to questions or needs I had. he was funny too. I love him. I just found out yesterday. I had no idea. I still don't know what happened. Bless us all with some peace.

There no words for this news. Ed had a great sense of humor and was a great teacher. I was in his class to learn about monitors. Knew him from Lourdes also. You will be missed.

To my Dad,
My heart aches and forever will that you aren’t here. I hope you left this Earth knowing how loved you were and always will be. May your soul be at peace and may you be comforted by the loved ones we lost in the past. This world won’t be the same without you, nor will I. Watch over our family please, Dad. I love you always. Thank you for being my Dad.

There are no words to describe the sadness of losing a person like Ed. God bless Laura and the family and comfort them. Loved the pictures of icu days at Lourdes. He was a great person. Eileen Finnegan

My heart breaks with the news of Ed’s passing and I can only console myself by remembering he is with his beautiful daughter, Allison, again. I have so many comical memories of working the 7p to 7a shift in Lourdes CCU and there was never a dull moment with him on the unit.
One night when the unit was quiet, he had found a roach outside the building and brought it back inside with him to scare all of the squeamish nurses. He finally decided to give the roach a grand tour but not without some anesthesia. He, oh so lovingly, injected the roach with lidocaine and put him in the tube system and sent him to the sixth floor nurses’ station with a note to send the “roach in space to as many nursing stations as possible. Every unit seemed to play along and our space cadet was finally returned to us an hour or two later still groggy from his anesthesia and his space flight adventure. Fortunately, Ed decided he did not have to send him to PACU to recover!
Thanks for the memories, Ed, and my most sincere sympathy to your family. You will be missed but never forgotten.

My Sincerest condolences to the DePhillipo family. Although I had only met Ed in person but a few times, he left a lasting impression. I will miss his calls and our chats that he was famous for, along with the holiday texts. He had so much passion for his work and I was blessed to be one of his many co-workers that loved working with him and becoming his friend. He always asked about my family as family was always something that was very important to him. He will be dearly missed. I have this poem in a frame that I feel is fitting... "Perhaps they are not the stars in the sky but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy." Eskimo Proverb Much Love Jen Glodowski
