So sorry to hear. I think of Aunt Marg and her laugh comes first to my mind. She always seemed to be laughing and enjoying all the chicanery of the Fortney-Yeager crowd. Hope you all are doing as well as you can. My family is thinking and praying for you all. Please go forth with wonderful memories of a life well lived!

Dorothy Ferguson put it best, "Only a moment you stayed but what an imprint your footsteps have left in our hearts". It has been an honor and a blessing being your neighbor. We will miss you terribly especially those "back yard" chats. May God hold you in the palm of his hand, Margaret.
Truly,
John, Betty, Christopher, Danielle, Jackson, and Meg Genther

Our sincere sympathy to the entire Fortney family. Margaret was a wonderful, hardworking person that gave so much to the town of Pitman. Both Jim and Margaret were always looking for new ways to enrich our town. She will not only be missed by her family but also by the many people who worked with her on a variety of projects including me. May God be with the family and comfort them all during this difficult time.

I think Teri Goodenbour said it best, “it’s hard to think of one without the other…. and your family meant everything to you!
It’s been a blessing to have been in your company all of these years. You always showed appreciation to even the smallest things.
I have some great recipes from you!
Your smile and shoulders moving as you laughed will be greatly missed! And when missing that… I will see you in your children!

Margaret and James were instrumental in planting veggies in our children’s “Victory Garden” at the Presbyterian Church. The Sunday School students harvested the crops and they were distributed through the Food Pantry. It was a heartwarming mission by such giving people.

Margaret has been such a part of our Pitman lives that it’s hard to think of one without the other. Her cheerful greetings at the doctors’ office, town, and school events were always a happy time. You could see her pride in her family shine as she shared their most recent accomplishments. Our condolences go out to her family, friends, and the Pitman community.
