Ruth always made sure I added her name to the attendance register. She needn't worry, those Pearly Gates will be open wide to greet her. The rest of us might get thru with the door ajar, but she surely set a example of a life well spent serving Christ. Wayne & Carolyn Leap

Mrs Lanning or mom as I used to call her was the most loving and sweetest woman. I was fortunate to have known her all my life and her husband Bill and family. Being a classmate of her daughter Sue Crispin I spent many times at her house for food and fellowship and growing up in Pitman Methodist Church Prayers are with the family and we will see her in Heaven someday. What a kind and wonderful lady. She made lunch once a week at her home for my son Kevin when he was a senior in high school, and Kevin loved it. One day my wife and I bumped into Ruth and Bill on Broadway, and Ruth (while she was talking to Gail and Bill was talking to me) hung several pairs of Bill’s pants she had picked up from the cleaners on the front of Bill’s belt, and neither of them missed a beat. We still talk about that because it was so funny. What a beautiful couple.

Sue, I am so very sorry for your family's loss. Your Mom was truly one of the kindest, caring people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. There is absolutely no doubt your Mom left this world a much better place and I am blessed to have known her.
