Obituary of Arne T Eliasen

Arne T. Eliasen, age 79 years of Woodbury Heights passed away July 28, 2022. Arne lived in South Philadelphia and Westville Grove later settling with his family in Woodbury Heights. He worked 34 ½ years at PATCO Speedline retiring as General Foreman of Way and Power. Arne proudly served our country during the Cuban Missile Crisis in the United States Navy aboard the USS Wallace L. Lind (DD703). He was a talented man who could make or fix anything…a true "MacGyver." Arne enjoyed spending time with family and was an avid Phillies and NASCAR fan. He loved spending summers fishing on the waters of Brigantine. He was a man of faith and a member of Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's Church.
Arne was a devoted husband for 55 years to Bonnie. He loved his family above all else. His two children Daniel Eliasen(Karen) and Nancy Moran (Paul) are left with cherished memories of a man who was kind, honorable, strong and courageous. He leaves behind two granddaughters, Carley and Emmie that he adored.
Arne is survived by his brothers Joseph Eliasen(Karen) and Stephen Eliasen, sister-in-law Carole Eliasen, brother-in-law Reed Riley and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arne is predeceased by his parents Arne and Dorothy Eliasen and brother Olaf Eliasen.
Friends may greet the family on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 9:30-11:00 am at Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's Church 334 Beech Avenue, Woodbury Heights, NJ. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 am.
