Ned, Carol, Beth, Lori, Lani and the rest of the Patton family. I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I was blessed to know Greg during college and some of the post college years when he lived in Greenville. We had a great circle of friends there. Many meals were shared, Friday morning Cracker Barrel breakfasts, hanging out on weekends. We watched movies, attended small town festivals, played pool, went to see minor league hockey, played swimming pool football and just had a great time in general. Greg's dry wit kept us laughing throughout it all. I was honored to have him stand up in our wedding. Even though the last time I saw him was 02, his passing still hits deeply. I had always hoped that our paths would cross again. The news of his passing brought back loads of memories that I hadn't thought of in a long time. I will be praying for you all in the weeks to come and look forward to catching up with him in Heaven.

Sending my condolences to you and your family on the lost of a wonderful person. I worked with Greg at Wilmington Trust. He was a pleasure to be around and a wealth of knowledge. We shared lots of laughs and memories from our childhood. One of my fondest memory of Greg was the look of happiness on his face at his surprised baby shower especially when he realized that Lani was there. It was a wonderful afternoon. Greg touched the lives of many people and will be missed by all. God bless you and your family.

I acted with Greg in Baptist High's performance of the Narnia musical (he was Aslan, I was Peter). I remember him coming out in his lion costume for dress rehearsal with a mane that looked like a fluffy orange cotton swab surrounding his head. Needless to say we mocked him ceaselessly - but since Greg wasn't one to take himself too seriously, he was happy to laugh at himself right along with us. In the almost 30 years since, I haven't forgotten his humour or his unfailing kindness and I doubt I ever will. See you at the resurrection, my friend. - Adam Benner, Melbourne, Australia

Greg and I worked together for many years at Wilmington Trust/M&T. In my decades of working, he stands out as one of the warmest, most knowledgeable, and most valued colleagues I have ever had. I am blessed to have known him and send heartfelt condolences to his family.

I would like to sends prayers and heartfelt condolences to The Patton Family. Greg was my manager when I first started working in the Tax Department in 2012 and Wilmington Trust/M&T Bank. A genuine spirit and always would welcome me with any questions as I was starting my assignment. It wasn't just work related, but just to sit and have personal conversations with him, he was easy to talk to and really cared. I was excited when he came back to the bank last year, if only for a short time. I'm still processing this tremendous loss. He will be greatly missed. I worked with Greg shortly at Fox Rothchild, but that small amount of time I worked with him was impressionable. We kept in touch from time to time. Hearing about his loss is very heartbreaking. I am praying for his wife and family while they are going through this difficult time
